I once had a strong desire to fly helicopters.  I wanted to fly patients from hospital to hospital.  I wanted to fly along the interstate system telling people what traffic was like.  I wanted to flash the spot light on criminals and shout over the speaker to “Freeze!”  And that their attempts to flee were futile.  I wanted to drop troops over jungles and sand dunes to fight the bad guys.  I wanted to maneuver through canyons, mountains and skyscrapers.  I wanted to go to sleep to the sound of rotors and wake up to that rather awesome high-pitched noise helicopters make when they turn on.  That would have been cool.
